Download the Fishing Grid app (free on iOS and Android), create your account, then search for a group by location, type, or name. You can join public groups in one tap, or send a request for private groups.
Can I create my own group?
Yes, you can create a group in seconds from the app. Choose a name, a type (local, competition, species, technique...), add a location, and invite friends via a unique invite code.
What types of groups are available?
Fishing Grid offers 6 group types: General, Competition, Local, Species, Technique, and Spots. Each type corresponds to a different focus to best organize your community.
Are groups free?
Yes, all groups are free. Creating a group, joining a group, participating in discussions, and organizing events costs nothing. The Fishing Grid app is 100% free.
Is my location information shared?
No, your exact position is never shared. Only the group location (city or area) is visible. You control what you share with other members.
How does species identification work?
Species identification uses artificial intelligence. Take a photo of your catch, and the app recognizes the species among 200+ referenced fish. You instantly get the full fact sheet with legal sizes and regulations.
